All aboard the Westdijk express!
Westdijk were called upon to demonstrate their expertise in the transportation of railway carriages. The job was to collect a 44 tonne carriage, dimensions 24.00 x 2.80 x 3.70m from Rotterdam quay and deliver it to the Ruhr area of Germany.

From snowy Slovenia to sunny Spain, these enormous pieces embarked on a journey with temperatures going from one extreme to the other.
Each piece measured 16.5 x 4.5 x 3.7m and weighed 34,000kgs and was loaded on 3 Westdijk trailers which travelled in convoy from Slovenia to Spain.

The Alvis Shielder CVRT Tracked Tank was collected from Doncaster and shipped to Zeebrugge. From there it was taken to Marseille Port where it met the ferry for onward shipment to Corsica to appear in a music video for a pop star!

Last month Westdijk received an order to transport part of a large press from Southern Italy to the customers factory in Luxembourg.

Westdijk recently received an order to move 3 heavy transformers domestically in Belgium. It was only a short distance, but it took a tremendous amount of planning.
