Westdijk Exceptional Transport b.v. has one outstanding characteristic: its versatility.

By making many combinations possible with diverse modular systems it is possible to provide the right transport for any cargo. Westdijk is good for about 300 tons per cargo as well as exceptional lengths above the legal 16.5 meters or cargos higher than 3 meters and/or wider than 2,55 meters. With our (semi) lowloaders, interdolly systems and small and wide bed lowloaders we can vary from 2 to 25 axles. A configuration is available for any cargo. The clients of Westdijk in The Netherlands are mainly contractors for whom we transport their construction machinery. For the foreign clients we mainly transport industrial machines and parts.

Westdijk takes care of more than only transport. For exceptional transport you need more than transport only. For instance we need to apply for permits and escorts. The service and quality of the service activity are of the utmost importance in this matter. This is true for exceptional transport in the Netherlands but especially abroad you need to make sure everything is taken care of beforehand. Westdijk has its own attendent service but also arranges police escort when necessary.

On abnormal transport we solely have experienced and well motivated drivers. If something happens on the road, in many cases, they need to solve the problem themselves. On top of that, driving with an exceptional combination is much different than driving a ‘normal truck combination’. You are, in most cases, wider/taller than usual and certainly heavier! Since Westdijk is responsible for the cargo, a big responsibility rests on the drivers’ shoulders.
